Whether you are an omnichannel expert or a beginner, these tips will help you manage your social media channels:
1. Assign a staff member (or several) to maintain a content calendar and post items regularly. Periodically, host a full staff content brainstorm session.
2. Post only to the channels where you can get high engagement. As a rule of thumb, you’ll get more adult followers on Facebook and Twitter, and more teens on TikTok and YouTube. Instagram is somewhere in the middle.
3. Tailor your content to the channel. For example, Instagram needs a steady diet of photos and videos. LinkedIn posts should address colleagues and/or adult patients.1
Bonus tip:
Remember to monitor your metrics at least monthly and make a note of which posts got the most traffic, comments and shares.
